Legend:

I did not know Harry. Inspired by him though. The one time we met we talked about surface fishing for steelhead on the John Day. He had never fished it and quizzed me about all the aquatic life. He was very curious of the lack of October Caddis and the aggressive nature of these steelhead on this river. I invited him to join me. He politely declined. A few minutes later he returned with some fly tying materials. In hand he tied two Thomson River Caddis muddlers based on Damselflies. They are really similar to the original. I saved them and copied them. They have been my favorite surface pattern ever since.

RIP Harry!
